In Greek mythology, Helen of Troy was the daughter of Zeus and wife of Menelaus, King of Sparta, and considered the most beautiful woman in the world. Early Christians widely used the name through Saint Helen, the mother of Emperor Constantine I, who, according to legend, found a piece of the cross of Jesus Christ during his pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
