He was bishop of Cingoli, in the Marche region of Italy in 496/7, and could have been from Africa. Little is known about him with certainty, but tradition attributes numerous miracles to his intercession both during his life and after his death, including the cessation of an outbreak of plague. The feast day is traditionally celebrated on January 24. 2) Exuperantius († 424) was a politician of the Western Roman Empire, the Praetorian Prefect of Gaul in 424.
