Altzibiades

This name derives from the Ancient Greek “Alkibiádēs (Ἀλκιβιάδης),” composed of two elements: “alkḗ (ἀλκή)” (valiant, strength, power, bravery, prowess, force, defense, guard) plus “bía (βία)” (bodily strength, force, bustle, rush, the act of violence). In turn, the name means “the one who has exaggerated strength and power, the one who is strong in battle.” Alcibiades, was a prominent Athenian statesman, orator, and general. He was the last famous member of his mother’s aristocratic family, the Alcmaeonidae, which fell from prominence after the Peloponnesian war. He played a significant role in the second half of that conflict as a strategic advisor, military commander, and politician.
