Ganymadus

This name derives from the Ancient Greek “Ganumḗdēs ‎(Γανυμήδης),” composed of two elements: “Gánymai (γάνῠμαι) egánynto (ἐγάνυντο)” (brighten up, be glad or happy) plus “mêdos ‎(μῆδος)” (counsel, plan, art, prudence, cunning). In turn, the name means “be happy or prudent for advice.” 1) In Greek mythology, Ganymede is a divine hero whose homeland was Troy. He was the son of Tros of Dardania, from whose name “Troy” was supposed to derive, and of Callirrhoe. 2) Ganymede (Jupiter’s largest moon, named after the mythological character) (Jupiter III) is the largest moon of Jupiter and in the Solar System, and the only moon known to have a magnetosphere.
