Sergius of Radonezh was a spiritual leader and monastic reformer of medieval Russia. The feast day is on October 7. Resafa (Arabic: Reṣafa), known in Roman times as “Sergiopolis” and briefly as Anastasiopolis, was a city located in the Roman province of Euphratensis, in modern-day Syria.
