In turn, the name means “beautiful victory.” 1) Kallinikos I was the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople from 693 to 705. 2) Mithridates I Callinicus was a king of Orontid Armenian descent who lived between 2nd-century BC and 1st century BC. 3) Kallinikos was the exarch of Ravenna (597–602/ 603). He is called Gallicinus, or Gallicini patricii, by the Lombard historian Paul the Deacon (Latin text, English: patrician Gallicinus).
